Though they came from different worlds—Natalia from the vibrant heart of Colombia and Rohan from the bustling energy of Toronto—their paths crossed in the most unexpected way. What started as a simple conversation quickly unraveled into something extraordinary.Their first date set the tone for what would become their relationship: fun, full of teamwork, and impossible to forget. They tackled an escape room together—escaping, of course—then wandered into a cozy restaurant where the conversation flowed so effortlessly, they didn’t notice the hours pass. They closed the place down that night, already sensing that something special had begun.From that day forward, their story became one of shared dreams, spontaneous adventures, deep belly laughs, and quiet moments of understanding. Whether dancing in the kitchen or navigating life’s biggest decisions, they became each other’s home.Then, on a golden summer evening in June 2025, surrounded by the cliffs and waters of Elora, Rohan got down on one knee and asked Natalia to marry him. How did we first meet?
We love mixing cozy nights in with exploring new spots around the city. Whether we’re trying a new Colombian or Indian restaurant, dancing salsa until our feet hurt, or just cooking something fun together at home, food and rhythm are at the heart of our time together. Since moving in together, even grocery runs have turned into little adventures (usually ending with impulse snacks).What does a typical date look like?

We’ll be celebrating twice — with an Indian wedding in Toronto and a Catholic wedding in Colombia — so the honeymoon will be well-earned! We’re planning a romantic trip after both celebrations, somewhere with a mix of relaxation, beautiful scenery, and a touch of adventure. Natalia has fully embraced the Canadian outdoors — from winter snowboarding trips to summer hikes, she’s become a true adventurer.
Rohan, meanwhile, has fallen in love with Colombian coffee (and is still trying to perfect it in a Keurig pod), and has a newfound appreciation for Spanish music and dance — even if the hips took some time to catch up.What is one thing that we adore about each other?
Rohan loves Natalia’s warmth — she brings so much heart into everything she does and lights up every room she walks into.
Natalia adores how steady and thoughtful Rohan is — his calm nature makes her feel safe, seen, and endlessly supported (even during wedding planning chaos!).
